Curiosity: when your child wants to know everything
Why is the sky blue? What's inside? Curiosity is how children conquer the world – and sometimes a test of patience for the grown-ups.
What's behind this feeling
Curiosity wants to understand. It shows that your child feels safe enough to explore.
What can help
Not every question needs an answer right away. "How could we find out?" is often the better response. And it's perfectly fine to say: "I don't know either."
What the book says
These texts appear exactly like this on the double page. Read them aloud while your child colors.
This is Peeky, the curiosity unicorn. Peeky shows up when you discover something new – then its neck stretches looong, because it simply has to see.
The questions
Where do you feel Peeky? Are your eyes getting big? Does your head want to lean in close? What did you discover lately that you had never seen before?
The trick: The explorer question
Ask a question today that nobody can answer yet. Then find out together!
